Push or not to push:

Some of the clients are hesitant in adopting derived roles.  When client implements derived role concept they operated under the agreement that most of the organizations within the company will have same type of access with changes in organizational data only. There may be some exceptions

Advantages

1.       The transaction and object values consistent across all the single roles

2.       Making changes to role can be transferred to all the derived to roles

3.       It makes security task like adding transactions very easy

4.       The transactions and functionality of the roles are consistent across organization

Disadvantages:

1.       Cannot customize the role to fit certain unique organizational locations. A new role has to be created.

2.       Changes to roles have to be analyzed  extensively to see the impact

3.       Transport of large number of roles as all the derived roles have to be transported
